BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - DECEMBER 7-11

Saanichton, B.C. - December is here, which means we've got a few more weeks of BCEHL action ahead of the holiday season! Let's take a look at what to keep an eye on heading into the weekend.

 

Female U18 AAA

 

Female U18 AAA Featured Series: The fifth-place Northern Capitals (4-13-0-1) travel to Langley to take on the second-place Fraser Valley Rush (14-3-0-1). The Rush goaltending duo of Kennedy Chalmers and Rebecca Noble has been outstanding recently, combining to allow one goal over their last four games. Capitals' forward Abby Bryant has put up four points (2g-2a) over her last four games and leads all Capitals' skaters with nine points (4g-5a) in 18 games.

U18 AAA

 

U18 AAA Featured Series: The fifth-place Valley West Giants (9-7-1-1) and seventh-place Greater Vancouver Canadians (6-9-1-0) meet in a home-and-home series. Giants' forward Ryder Marks has been a consistent scorer as of late, with four points (3g-1a) during an active four-game point streak. Currently on a three-game winning streak, the Canadians have received an offensive boost from Yashas Jain, who has seven points (3g-4a) over his last four games.

U17 AAA

 

U17 AAA Featured Series: The sixth-place Cariboo Cougars (6-6-4-2) travel to the Island to take on the ninth-place Vancouver Island Royals (4-13-1-2). Royals' forward Khayam Siah will look to build on his offensive showing from December 3rd, where he put up three points (2g-1a) against the Greater Vancouver Canadians. Cougars' defender Ben Fofonoff scored his third powerplay goal of the season in his last outing, which leads all U17 defenders.

The U15 league is not in action this weekend as they have a league-wide bye. During the bye week, five of the league’s teams will be attending the U15 AAA Battle in the Valley.
