BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - JANUARY 3RD-5TH

Saanichton, B.C. - The holiday break has ended, and BCEHL hockey is back! We kick off the new year with the U15 league-leading Okanagan Rockets looking to keep their winning ways. Let's take a look at what's in store.

Female U18 AAA

There are no games scheduled for the Female U18 league due to a bye week.

U18 AAA

In the lone contest in the U18 league, the fourth-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (12-9-1-1) will take on the seventh-place Vancouver North West Hawks (8-8-2-2). This will mark the fourth meeting between the two squads this season, with Fraser Valley coming out on top in each of the first three.

U17 AAA

The ninth-place Vancouver Island Royals (0-17-0-2) hit the road this weekend, beginning on Friday with a matchup against the third-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (15-6-0-1). They then head off to Kelowna to take on the league-leading Okanagan Rockets (19-3-0-0.

Saturday's U17 Game:

Vancouver Island Royals @ Okanagan Rockets - 2:00 p.m. - MNP Place

Sunday's U17 Game:

Vancouver Island Royals @ Okanagan Rockets - 10:00 a.m. - MNP Place

U15 AAA

A single series in the U15 league take the spotlight this weekend. The fourth-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds will look to cool down the Okanagan Rockets (15-3-0-0) when they welcome them to the Abbotsford Centre. The league-leading Rockets are winners of 10 of their last 11 and hold a seven point lead on top spot in the U15 standings.

Sunday's U15 Game:
