BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - NOVEMBER 5-11

Saanichton, B.C. - The BCEHL is heating up with great contests this weekend! The U17 league leaders will meet in a battle for first place, while second and third-place teams go head-to-head in the Female U18, U18, and U15 leagues. Let's take a closer look at what's in store.

Female U18 AAA

A lone matchup highlights the Female U18 league this weekend. With their season series tied at two games apiece, the third-place Thompson-Okanagan Lakers (6-3-1) will hit the road to take on the second-place Greater Vancouver Comets (8-2-0) for an expected tightly contested three-game series.

Friday’s Female U18 Game:

Thompson-Okanagan Lakers @ Greater Vancouver Comets – 8:00 p.m. – Planet Ice Coquitlam

Saturday’s Female U18 Game:

Thompson-Okanagan Lakers @ Greater Vancouver Comets – 8:15 p.m. – Planet Ice Coquitlam

Sunday’s Female U18 Game:

Thompson-Okanagan Lakers @ Greater Vancouver Comets – 1:30 p.m. – Planet Ice Delta

U18 AAA

The U18 league features a clash near the top of the league standings. As the second-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (8-2-0) will aim to fend off the third-place Cariboo Cougars (6-3-1), who trail them by only three points. Elsewhere, the fifth-place Valley West Giants (4-5-2) are set to welcome the unbeaten Okanagan Rockets (10-0-0) for the first time this season.

U17 AAA

The U17 league presents this week's marquee matchup in the BCEHL. As the two teams tied at the top of the league standings, the Cariboo Cougars (10-2-1) and Thompson Blazers (10-5-1) will battle for sole possession of first place. Meanwhile in Kelowna, the fifth-place Okanagan Rockets (5-3-2) will face off against the sixth-place Valley West Giants (5-4-2) in another contest that could shake up the standings.

U15 AAA

There are four teams in the U15 league that will be in action this week. With only one loss this season, the second-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (10-1-0) will look to extend their lead against the third-place Thompson Blazers (8-3-1). Meanwhile, the fourth-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (7-3-2) will face off against the seventh-place Vancouver North West Hawks (2-8-1) in a Tuesday matinee.
