BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - OCTOBER 10-13

Saanichton, B.C. - We're back with another busy weekend across the BCEHL! The U17 league has their first showcase of the season while second-place is up for grabs in the Female U18 league. Let's see what's in store.

 

Female U18 AAA

The two teams tied for second-place in the Female U18 league go head-to-head this weekend. The Greater Vancouver Comets (4-2-0) and the Fraser Valley Rush (4-2-0) will meet for the second time this season after the Comets won their matchup on September 28 in a 4-1 finish.

 

Saturday's Female U18 Game:

Greater Vancouver Comets @ Fraser Valley Rush – 1:30 p.m. – Langley Twin Rinks

 

Sunday's Female U18 Game:

Greater Vancouver Comets @ Fraser Valley Rush – 9:30 a.m. – Langley Twin Rinks

 

U18 AAA

There will be six teams in action this weekend in the U18 league. The league-leading Okanagan Rockets (4-0-0) will face off against the third-place Thompson Blazers (3-1-0) in a home-and-home series. The fourth-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (3-1-0) will take on the seventh-place Vancouver North West Hawks (1-1-2) in Burnaby and North Vancouver.

Okanagan Rockets @ Thompson Blazers – 12:30 p.m. – Sandman Centre

Vancouver North West Hawks @ Vancouver North East Chiefs – 3:30 p.m. – Scotia Barn

Greater Vancouver Canadians @ Fraser Valley Thunderbirds – 4:00 p.m. – Abbotsford Centre

 

Sunday's U18 Games:

Vancouver North East Chiefs @ Vancouver North West Hawks – 11:00 a.m. – Canlan Sports North Shore

Thompson Blazers @ Okanagan Rockets – 12:00 p.m. – MNP Place

Fraser Valley Thunderbirds @ Greater Vancouver Canadians – 8:30 p.m. – Richmond Ice Centre

 

U17 AAA

The U17 league kicks off their first showcase of the season this weekend in Richmond. The first-place Thompson Blazers (6-2-0) will look to continue their hot start when they take on the fourth-place Vancouver North West Hawks (4-3-0) and fifth-place Okanagan Rockets (3-2-1).

U15 AAA 

The U15 league has a lone matchup this weekend. The second-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (5-1-0) and the seventh-place Valley West Giants (0-6-0) will hit the ice in Langley.
