OFFICIATING INSTRUCTOR APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2025 SUMMER CAMPS

BC Hockey is currently looking for instructors for Officiating Program of Excellence (OPOE) Camps and Summer Officiating Schools.

Previous instructional experience at the local, regional, or branch level is preferred, but not required. BC Hockey plans to maintain an instructor-to-student ratio of approximately 1:10 at all events.

Please note that each event requires instructors to be on-site 24-hours a day for the duration of the camps, which includes overnight supervision.

OPOE Male and Female Camps:

WHEN: July 24 - 27, 2025

WHERE: Chilliwack Coliseum, Chilliwack, B.C.

Applicants for OPOE instructors must be currently registered with BC Hockey and hold a minimum of Hockey Canada Member High Performance (MHP) qualification.

Summer Officiating Schools:

Lake Cowichan

WHEN: July 25 - 29, 2025

WHERE: Cowichan Lake Sports Arena, Lake Cowichan, B.C.

Salmon Arm

WHEN: July 31 - August 4, 2025

WHERE: Rogers Rink (Formerly Shaw Centre), Salmon Arm, B.C.

Applicants for Summer Officiating School instructors must be currently registered with BC Hockey and hold a minimum Hockey Canada Level III qualification.

Application deadline is June 2, 2025

Only successful applicants will be contacted, and BC Hockey intends to confirm the instructional staff approximately six to eight weeks prior to each event.
